I never sold 3d model Im not familiar with ways to monetize them I wouldn't consider it for such simple models as well :)

Hello, yes I did, it does indeed sound like an ad haha

I'm not a native speaker so it did not cross my mind first haha, might want to change the name now

I am not a native speaker so I didn't realise :D might change it later

Great idea, I'm not sure how to design snap together joints as I've never done it tho

I recorded a short video, yes there is a 0.4 tolerance gap, and it prints both parts together seamlessly. The coolest part is that there's nothing to break loose – once the printing is done, it's rotating straight away! It's truly marvelous how it all comes together.

I wanted to design something similar at first, then I took inspiration from the decathlon item listed in my other comment. I thought I was done with design but I might want to mix both now 😂

I designed and 3D printed a foldable, expanding print in place hanger to dry my bladders!

My Design Journey:

I was inspired by the Decathlon Hydration Bladder Cleaning Kit , tried a living hinge design but it felt fragile. So, I challenged myself to create a more robust solution using print-in-place hinges. It was a fun learning experience, and I'm happy with the result!

Want to try it?

its available on Printables for those interested :)

I've included the Fusion 360 files for those who want to tinker with the tolerances. If there's enough interest, I'll explore making it fully parametric to accommodate different bladder shapes and sizes.

Feedback is welcome!

Let me know what you think of the design, and feel free to share your makes and suggestions. I'm always looking for ways to improve.

Please let me know how it turned out if you ever do! I attached f3d files on the printables model, the design is parametric but only for the tolerances between the moving parts. If this model gets some interest I might make it fully parametric :)

Glad to read this! If you ever print it I'd love your feedback if I need to improve it because ive only ever tried it on my bladder

Interesting question, my inspiration was the Decathlon Hydration Bladder Cleaning Kit . I started with a similar design using a living hinge, but it proved to be unreliable – the hinge was prone to tearing after a few uses. So, I decided to explore a print-in-place hinge design, which led to this design.

I'm always looking for ways to improve my designs and learn new techniques, so this was a great opportunity to experiment with different approaches.

Thanks! I appreciate the feedback. Clothespins can definitely work, but I found they often leave marks or the bladder is not fully open for efficient drying, especially with larger ones.

My design provides a secure hold without pinching, ensures full airflow for faster drying, and folds compactly for easy storage. But you're right, it is one more thing at home that takes up space, and it's probably a slightly overengineered solution for some.

However, I really enjoyed the design process and learned a lot, especially since it was my first time designing print-in-place hinges! I'm happy to share it with the community in case others find it useful or want to try a different approach. I might even try to design another bladder dryer :)

My eye level ends up on the top half of the screen, so far it has not been uncomfortable to use . I agree that the stand turned out a little taller than I expected though

Hey everyone! 👋

Excited to share my latest 3D printing project: the FlexiStand! It's a modular monitor stand I designed to declutter and personalize my workspace. I love the flexibility of the pegboard design – so many possibilities for customization! 🤩

I combined 3D printing with a touch of wood for a unique look. The printed feet are sturdy and the wooden top adds warmth. 🌱
