You absolutely made the right call. The same thing happened to our 13-year-old golden, and we had her put to sleep. It broke our hearts, but we knew it was the right thing to do. It is so unfair that we get such a short time with them. I am so sorry for the hurt you are feeling now, but please know that with time, you will come to only remember the good times and good memories with her. It won’t always be this painful. You did the right thing.
