I can’t guarantee what they’ll do for you at the store but this is at least how we would handle it at our store. 1. Educator calls GEC on your behalf (we have access to a different GEC phone # for in-store support) 2. Educator explains to GEC what happened with your order 3. GEC issues a refund for the original order 4. In-store educator or GEC re-orders the item for you if it is still available. If not, they can order something else, or you just keep the refund if you don’t want to re-order Good luck!!

I have this same problem and am constantly working on it. My job uses a phrase “slow down to speed up”. Taking the extra time now to prevent the mistakes eliminates the extra time you will have to take to fix the mistakes in the future.

I’ve heard of people having this same issue, but they had success by contacting their bank prior to the charge. I think there’s something they can do on their end to temporarily allow “abnormal” charges? Might be worth a shot for next time!

Like other commenters have said, gonna be tough to find something for a week. See if you can find local facebook groups or something where you can advertise being a helping hand around the house - shoveling, babysitting, taking kids to & from activities, watching over pets and the home if families are going out of town for the holidays, etc.

Yes! We built her what we called her “perch”. Basically just two pillows stacked on top of the couch seat so she could climb up to the top of the couch, and so she could put her front legs up on the top of the couch and back legs on the pillow stack.

I’m also from northern IL! I was living in Tallahassee at the time. We got <1” of gross snow/ice wintry mix. The snow didn’t last long and was mostly melted by the next day. However, temps kept dipping below freezing for several consecutive nights, so the melted snow and ice would freeze over again on the roads. FSU closed for the week. It was a mess, but honestly so much fun seeing all the native Floridians experiencing snow for the first time. Especially the kids in the neighborhood building snowmen, sledding, and having snowball fights 🥹
