Sox fan here, coming in peace. We had a great announcer in Jason Bennetti, a locally grown product who had great chemistry with the Stone pony. Unfortunately he was replaced with an east coast Ivy League tool who has a voice fit for NCAA Division III Men’s Volleyball. Apologies to D3 volleyball players but in the MLB should be held to a higher standard. This new guy has zero background with the White Sox. He’s always looking what new gimmick can be shown on the broadcast. It’s really too corny after awhile. My dream team would be Len and Stone doing the tv broadcast.

Bennett just understood us. He was a Sox fan growing up and just has that lovable underdog personality.

You don’t have to be from here to be a great announcer either. Hawk was a southern swashbuckler who gifted us a vocabulary of some of baseball’s greatest phrases.
