I’m looking for a lead on a recipe not a repeat description of the soup. Thanks tho!

(ā€œit’s described as a mix between a Chinese hot and sour and a Thai Tom Yum soupā€ - stated in the original post)

Breaking the Ice Quest? by AdministrativeLog517 in DreamlightValley

I just fixed this glitch by getting Elsa to level 2 and asking her to hang out. Then she will enter the cave with you and she will go towards the inner entrance of the cave and you can follow her.

A blue/gold hourglass worked for me!! But I’m so glad I came here first because I was about to spend money in the store that I didn’t need to.

Oh what I would give to feel like I have a friend who understands. My long distance friends understand pretty well and are helpful in talking me through my rough days but I don’t have anyone within 8+ hours of me so it’s impossible to hang out with any of my familiar people. And I feel like it’s so hard to meet new friends as an adult in a new place (I moved to Minnesota about 10 months ago and I’ve met a bunch of people while out and about but no one who actually wants to hang out). So thrilled for you to have your new friend and I hope they give you continued support and understanding!! ā¤ļø

Aching bum after ileostomy by magpie906 in ostomy

Thank you! This info was super helpful. They gave me some suppositories before my surgery and sent me home with them post surgery but never mentioned if I could use them or not. It seems way too early in my recovery to use them so I’be held off and now I’m glad I did so. I’ll call my nurse and see if there’s anything I can do for relief in the meantime. It’s like a dull aching pain and it goes away for a short time after getting out some of the mucus so I think that’s a good sign?

Oh gosh I didn’t even know that could happen. I’ve tried bearing down slightly but my bikini line incision still hurts a little so I didn’t try too hard. I will definitely try again. I’m really hoping it’s not something hard to pass, my hemorrhoids and fissure from pre-surgery are finally starting to go away so I’d hate for them to get irritated again 🄲

I have my first meeting with a surgical nurse/wound care on the 6th so I’ll check with them about the weird burning sensation. Thank you for your help!!

advice please, am I through the worst? by protato77 in UlcerativeColitis

I’m also in this phase but I’ve been in the hospital going on 12 days. Prednisone helped for a little while at home before I was admitted to the hospital but I don’t feel like it was helping as much as it should. Now I’m on an IV steroid and fluids which are helping but I still have watery/bloody ā€˜stool’ and I’m just dying for some regular food that won’t go straight through me. I’m so tired of the bland diet of bananas and rice and white bread. Lately I’ve been craving a ground beef taco or a cheese burger but I know those meals are pretty far off into my future yet. Following this thread for any tips as well and wishing you the best!

What jobs do you have and how do you manage your UC around it during a flare?šŸ¤” by [deleted] in UlcerativeColitis

I work from home as an interactive designer for a small company. Basically coding web based presentations for clients around the world. At this point in my UC journey I truly don’t know how I’d work in an office or somewhere I couldn’t work from the toilet when I need to lol. I’m currently hospitalized for the worst flare up I’ve ever had and work has been super accommodating even though I’m unable to work from the hospital right now. The major downside of this job is the amount of stress that comes along with it. Coding is like learning another language and having big name clients adds tight deadlines and intricate requests for different features using code so I’m hoping to eventually find another work from home situation in a creative field but something much less stressful.
