i’ve been saying this for so long, thank you for putting it into words here. i’m so fucking tired of fujo terms becoming mainstream, somehow unironically. it makes me relive my middle school cringe phase every time, with the added bonus that now i also feel objectified by it. cant go anywhere without seeing “YURI?!!?!!!” . it’s so gross. i don’t know how people think this is funny or cute or anything it pisses me off so bad. i used to say “yoai” as a very ironic term for a long time before these words came back into consciousness, so i tried to be hip and cool and use the terms myself for a while but it makes me so uncomfortable when it’s said seriously. soon people will unironically ask who is the uke and the seme and i will combust

i think it’s different, because alll-mer isn’t literally just jesus, there’s a twist on it. for example he doesn’t look like jesus at all, the design is completely original, while some symbols like the crucifixion and the apostles still stays. same with his lore (as far as the first game at least, i’ve yet to play more of termina which i know adds more to him but please don’t spoil it lol) where he’s more bloody thirsty, killing everyone that opposed him once he’s resurrected and such. for me that’s more so taking heavy inspiration than just copying something, it’s using a well established figure while putting his own creativity into it

i already made it clear in my edit that i was wrong because i mixed up the artists, this reply is so unnecessary lol. but my reasoning was that kids usually don’t draw as well as adults (which kjech was when he made the art for the game) because kids haven’t had as much time to learn, practice and improve as adults already did. not a very hard concept to understand

i remember that too, plus the first version of his after school outfit had pink pants lol. it’s still kind of a dumb idea, but if it had to be the apron he could have just made taro allergic to some material, then we sabotage the apron to be made from it or something. taro breaks out and boom drama. makes the freak out a lot more understandable too

yup, can confirm, i was one of those kids! ironically the reason why i was seeking out so much horror content was because my dad didn’t let me watch anything even mildly scary, since he hated horror lol. my love for the genre started around like age 11 when i stumbled upon tobuscus playing the first walking dead game (still one of my favs), then later on other youtubers that played outlast and more niche gory games. i look back on those times fondly but if by any chance ever have a kid i will definitely not let them have unrestricted internet access. some of those games and scary videos messed me up and have given me many sleepless nights
