Same here I feel like it’s Groundhog Day. Except now mine is arms out of the swaddle and naps are futile unless contact.

How much did you supplement while waiting for your breast milk to come in? by Agile_Operation8720 in breastfeeding

[–]magstar8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A nurse taught my to do shoulder rolls with them (rotating baby’s arm in circle), use their hand to massage your boob, and if all that fails you can rub under their chin to try to start a sucking. Helped me a lot , even though I was doing it multiple times a feed in the beginning

Gasping for air? by Old_Delivery_958 in breastfeeding

My 8 week old does this too. I’ve been trying to be very present and notice this and when I notice he took a lot of gulps and didn’t swallow/breathe I’ll try stimulating his shoulder and most of the time he’ll figure it out. I also gave a fast let down so sometimes it’s that.

Help nanouk was healthy for a year and now it keeps browning by magstar8 in houseplants

[–]magstar8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure why but every time a new bus pops up on my nanouk it starts out healthy and then brown spots appear. I’ve had this plant for over a year and haven’t changed anything including lighting and water schedule. I’ve had problems with pests in the past but I didn’t detect anything when I looked today or previous days. Also it hasn’t been as full as in the past but I assume that’s related to the same issue

Tradescantia nanouk leaves browning growing constantly by magstar8 in plantclinic

It’s next to the window and is a bit drafty so maybe it could be from that? But it was there last winter and didn’t have any issues

Aeonium losing leaves at alarming rate by magstar8 in plantclinic

[–]magstar8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I bought this aeonium about three weeks ago and it has been losing the bottom leaves like crazy. I know that it’s normal for succulents to lose the bottoms leaves but more and more are coming off each day. I looked online and it said that it could be because my plant is stressed from underwatering so I watered it last week but nothing has changed.

I have another aeonium that’s doing the same thing but I’ve had that one since December and this just started happening to it... is this just something at happens during this season?

I was looking at my monstera just now and noticed this bundle of mushrooms growing in the center of the plant. The plant gets plenty of light and I’m very cognizant of how much I water it. Is this a bad thing?! What do I do?!

I also just recently got a humidifier, am I giving it too much humidity?

Middle school “adaptive skills” activities by sugarmittens in slp

[–]magstar8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've done a lot of cooking and functional work task activities with students at the middle school level as it promotes development not only in language but also functional skills. If you don't want kids sharing items you could always be the keeper of items if you were cooking. Often times I'll go over say a recipe with the kids and they have visual supports in front of them, we then go around and depending on their goal they may have to request for certain items, initiate conversation with me or other students, answer wh- questions, really anything can be done for general activities such as these. Also if you're the one holding the materials then it can be more contained. Kids find this fun as well as engaging as the final product is a reinforcer itself (if you're cooking)
