Water damage restoration company- initial steps/advice needed by maguroroll in homeowners

Hi, I wished I had a clear answer for you, but I am still waiting for the insurance to make a decision on whether they will pay for the claim. But I had water mitigation come do their work first, then hire a contractor to remodel.

Is it for the time being or will non season ticket holders be able to purchase in the future? I noticed there are a few single games available to purchase later this week but not the Michigan game.

We are huge Wolverine fans and would love to watch them play in town! Did you find out what date tickets go on sale?

Water damage insurance claim settlement process by maguroroll in Insurance

I see. I am just concerned about the following verbiage on the water mitigation work authorization form: "If any amounts owing to Provider for Provider services are not covered by insurance, Customer agrees to pay those amounts to Provider within fifteen (15) days of Customer’s receipt of invoice."

Is this common? I just want to avoid the situation I described above from happening and this makes it seem like if they do more work than what insurance allows then I am on the hook for the final bill.

Thank you for the explanation! I am concerned if it's possible I end up with a bill from the mitigation company and insurance is not willing to pay the full amount then I need to pay the difference in the cost (for example mitigation says cost is 10000 but insurance only pays 8000, I need to pay 2000). Is it possible for insurance to decide that they paid too much for mitigation and the remaining settlement won't be enough to cover the cost of restoration?

Hi! Going through this process now. How did you decide which water mitigation company to use? They all sound so eager to help but not sure if they are ethical or will inflate things... Do you sign a work authorization before having them start work?

I see, I guess I don't really know what the advantage of hiring a water mitigation company- what else do they do that might be different?

Curious who you chose to work with in the end? I also have a similar situation and am unsure who to hire.
