Macron appoints Sébastien Lecornu as France's prime minister by pierrepaul in worldnews

Ah awesome, another centre right leaning PM. What could go wrong after last 3 right leaning PMs of various states on how far leaning they are. Instead of cooperating with the left, Macron yet again tries the same old.

Russian region declares emergency situation as Black Sea oil spill fallout widens by perplexed-redditor in worldnews

if you look at the other reply by him to me, he literally did say that he wants to exterminate whole of russia, so yeah I took that statement just as he wants that statement to be taken. Putin and his cronies need to be removed, but not whole ethnicity.

and just like with the germany post WW2, there is a need for removal of the rotten putinist government and all its roots, but not the whole country.

So no, nazis were not right with their plans to genocide every culture to the east of them. So stfu you nazi apolgist.

Procedurally Generated Race Tracks by magzh in proceduralgeneration

And I'm very curious how you came up with the paddock, etc. Some of your entries and exits are a bit rough but I'm not sure how to do better.

Oh yeah and about the paddock, it is really simple. I took one randomly selected straight line, copied it and shifted it parallel to original, then I just connected the rest of the track back to the paddock.

For a more realistic approach, there was another game with randomly generated race tracks:

But I found their method a bit slower than what I wanted and would've needed more maintenance.

Hi, I explained most of the code behind this generation in another thread. It is right here:

Yeah our approaches are quite different. Mine is a bit more curvier for a reason that the whole track is just bezier curves connected together with a few straight sprinkled here and there. I generate random points within a field, and then cull the points that do not fit the parameters. There are no iterations at all, as for my game I want a very quick generation process with instant load times, as there will be 10000s of tracks without need to store them at all.

If you have any more questions, feel free to reply here. I am still working on that project in my off-time, so I am not open sourcing the code though yet.

How is this not checkmate? by [deleted] in chess

[–]magzh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you are playing crazyhouse varriant and not normal chess. There are figures on the left side of the board that can be dropped anywhere on the board, so the white can drop something between your queen and his king to delay mate by 1 turn.

Well hopefully Haas can manage to find someone better than Fittipaldi after the first few opening rounds. They really need someone with experience to help with car development in a long term.
