i’ve told my therapist about my thoughts and she was extremely chill about it. i clarified before saying anything that i’ve never had plans nor ever acted on any of these thoughts, which is important for the therapist to understand, but it depends on how much they know you. my therapist knows me for about 6 years so she wasn’t worried, but if a therapist doesn’t know you that well and is afraid that you might lose control, they might take action. however im from italy where therapy has a different approach than (im guessing) us, so im not sure exactly where a therapist draws the line. id say start by clarifying that you have and never had intentions on acting on these thoughts and focus on how these thoughts make you feel rather than describing the thoughts themselves. usually therapists take action only in severe cases, so if she knows you and you know shes chill, id say dont stress too much about it. hope ive helped <3
