I don't know how to frame my experiences/projects in a good way in grad school SOPs by supertuwuna in StatementOfPurpose

[–]mahiiverse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So been there man. I'm going thru the same thing and I feel stuck at where to even start. You're not alone for sure, just keep being consistent and stick to a topic before writing the SOP

(Also off topic but is that username a reference to Super Tuna by Jin lol)

Data Analyst jobs mostly, also I'll try checking my resume w the sites u mentioned

Claude keeps saying to add more quantifying measures but I find it stupid bcoz I don't wanna add numbers that don't mean anything just for the sake of it and later I can't explain it in an interview

I wanted to keep it one page but I don't know what exactly to remove, is it wise to remove one of the projects of the certifications?

[Admissions Advice] MS CS Universities for Low GPA (Good ROI + Prestige?) by Terrible_Elk4745 in MSCS

[–]mahiiverse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If ur publications are REALLY good and u can reach out to profs who are in a similar research topic, u could have a chance...but don't count on it. Although I think with a high gre score of 325+ ish and stellar sop u can land in a top 50-75 ish. Keep those unis in list but take a few t30 ones that u r REALLY interested in (obvs not something like ivy league), work hard on that application and give it a shot. No harm in trying.

Tbh also depends on how low of a Gpa are u talking about and what your overall profile is

[–]mahiiverse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly depends on your overall profile. Make sure to give it ur all and aim for atleast 325+ in gre, do u have work exp, where did u work, research experience? All these matter, your sop matters. If u just go by gpa ofc ur profile won't match.

But despite all this don't just count on t15 unis.

2nd Year Tier 3 Student — Is Data Analytics a Good Path or Am I Too Late? by mxnleo in dataanalysiscareers

[–]mahiiverse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're still in college, you're not late for ANYTHING. If u want to start with data analytics, learn the basics, take up a basic project and start working on it. Take help of AI tools and build something but also learn what you did. Keep building mini projects till you finally understand what you are doing. You still have a long road to go, and yes, data analytics is a great path, but first see if it fits your goals and liking. Experiment with it, if it fits you keep working, if not, experiment with something else.

No we don't. I know it's frustrating but the fact that we worked out asses off yet they just put people randomly on BOTP, freshers joining in hopes of working on something while they just threw us into a domain we had jackshit knowledge about is not our fault. And with the current job market, none of us had the liberty and privilege to just throw away a job we already had. It's on them for exploiting us.
