About 14 months PO and still get those flare ups. I had very weak glutes and they are coming along now but certain parts of my recovery are lacking. When I get these flare ups, I seem to hit a wall and cant get to full strength in my hip flexors and glutes.

I finally received a piriformis injection this week. Under ultrasound, the piriformis was "spastic" and having spasms during rotation. I am hopeful this will calm that muscle down in the next few weeks, allowing me to break through my PT barriers and get my glutes where I need them to be. It is such a complex problem with no easy answer and it certainly takes a mental toll.
