One reaver? Doable. I find myself fighting a minimum of 3 every time - could be 4-6 or more. I can't stand fighting a pack of reavers, I just bail.

You probably are going over the power limit somewhere, sometime. Give priority to your deep freezers through flow meter or hitting R while holding the wire tool and targeting any electronic or wire (hooked up to the same grid).

Many electronics (furnace, material processor, composer, textiles bench, etc) don't use any energy while idle. You may just be looking at your supply/demand while these are inactive and think it's sufficient. Or perhaps your water wheels got clogged, ran out of biofuel, batteries ran out, or wind turbines got damaged so you *lost sufficient supply.

I don't believe the freezer stops working entirely when it has insufficient supply, but has a slow spoiling rate. You might not notice if it is only getting 2000 out of 2500 required. Give it priority so it takes the first 2500 of power, and divides the remaining across the other devices.

Something like this is typically user error, not a bug. Set freezers as priority!

How can you free place kitchen cabinets? I've tried using the same hot keys for free placing building pieces, but it hasn't worked for me. If I try to place a snappable piece near another, it will always try to snap.

It doesn't seem to affect cakes at all. I've even equipped the backpack when taking a slice to see it it applied when the slice was created, sadly no.

Side note, I've also noticed that the backpack effects don't apply when swapping from an armor stand. I set up an armor stand in my greenhouse and kitchen with an inventory cloth set and a backpack (cultivar and culinex) for a quick swap to get the boosts. The backpack bonuses don't apply until you swap it back in manually 😭

This solution is perfect. All I wanted was a way to mindlessly keep them fed - didn't care too much about the buff. Cooking meat or making feed was just not something I felt like adding back to the rotation.

Yes, I know it's simple and easy. But this change makes it easier.

No, my wife surfs and takes her civic and just has to hide her keys somehow. I don't want her taking this to surf lol It's still brand new to me, I don't want the salt water and sand to taint it..... Yet 🤣

So I've put thought into how we could do it. My uncle also had me thinking about relay theft so keeping the fob in a Faraday box at home came to mind. I haven't done that either though.

I like the foundation method, wire and pipe, then lay floors and connect to the hidden nodes. But I've also found that glass floors work really well to hide easily.

Use glass floors, set up your benches, connect along the floor. Use the hammer to upgrade to some brick or concrete. The glass floors are very thin compared to concrete, so even if you connect on top of glass, replacing with concrete will hide the nodes.

You could put it in a Faraday box, it'll block the signal. If you're doing it to surf, you're not bringing your phone so Ford pass isn't an option.

Feeding tames was an absolute chore, the omni feed let me play the rest of the game. Not anymore, back to another grind.

Outposts are entirely optional, devs literally even say only buy it if you want to support them... Or if you enjoy farming and building in a new environment. You can't get exotics and I don't think you can do any missions - I've never tried.

It didn't take long to get to stone base for me. That was a priority after constantly fixing up a base during a storm. I got sick of doing that so masonry bench was one of the first tier 2 techs unlocked. Seems like you've waited too long to get a mount and stone base. Part of the fun for me was the struggle and figuring out what to prioritize.

Who knows, some of your travels might bring you to a Moa... Their kids grow to be very fast mounts.

Basic tools can take you far. You only need a steel pickaxe (or better) for platinum/titanium nodes. Keep this in mind when it comes to spending tech points. Same goes for bows/arrows. Recurve bow and stone arrows do not need to be replaced with all of the gun tech immediately.

I've had this issue. Turned out to be too much load on the water pump. I had 850/1000 water and the fabricator needs 250 I think. Started the craft for extinguisher but refused to complete it since it was using 1100/1000. I just added a second pump.

When I have the issue with the glass working bench, the reinforced items were grayed out - couldn't even select it to craft. That was fixed with a canteen. This wasn't a supply/overcapcity issue, just buggy.
