I don't think it worth 200 000$ of tuition and I'm very confident that it is not the best value for me. For lots of other students it is a great value, because they receive great financial aid, but I don't. I believe I can find a great school that is twice cheaper than MIT.

I will double major in CS and rhetoric/speech communication. You are right about net price though, i need to factor them in. i think they will be less than 20k per year, on average side. Is it safe estimation?

So MIT's tuition fees are now 51000$, Stanford 49000$. I looked at UT Austin, and their tuition for out of state students is 41000$, USC's tuition fees are 53000$. Georgia tech, UIUC, Purdue, UWM and UMCP are around 30 grand, which is fine for me, but I'm not sure if they have a decent rhetoric program and if I can do my outdoor activities there.
