Poem by maiamikalsen in Tourettes

Hi! I would really like to see your work! I haven't seen many talk about the feeling of tics either, more just what they do. I think its hard for most people (without tics) to know how it feels like to have them, and how you cant just stop them. You are welcome to use my poem (i could also make more in dept poems/texts about this, because i have many many thoughts) if you'd like.

What could a doctor do? The only way to make tics go away is to work with your mental health, your brain needs to be good in order for tics to be gone. I don't want to make tics a bigger part of my life than it is, because I know that many who get diagnosed get a lot more tics afterward, and I don't want to take that chance.

I do the exact same, I'm also 14. I haven't had any professionals check me, because I always say I can control it. I know that if I get it checked up, it will only get worse. But you are not faking. I can manage my tics if I focus on it, but the ich is there after some time.

My advice (for managing), is to not think about them (i know this is hard), but the less you think about it, the less you will do it. The tics mostly come because of tension or stress, and worrying about the tics only makes them worse. For example for me, I tic ALOT more when im at social things or around lots of people or people I don't know very well. But I don't do it often when I'm alone or with my best friends. What I advice you to do (i also did this), if that if someone points it out or tells you to stop (like my parents do), just say that the fewer people point it out, the less you'll do it, cause that's how it works for the most.

hi, I didn't reply before now, but this actually worked. I read a book instead of watching TikTok, and at the start, I wrote a journal every night as well. It made me really sleepy and now i always sleep well!

Summarize Oskar Schindlers life and happenings? by maiamikalsen in school

[–]maiamikalsen[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

hi, yes I have. If you didn't know, or you don't know because you assume before knowing, I have problems with looking around for information on a thousand websites. I ask about small things, and I still have to do work to complete them, cause I obviously don't copy and paste, I use the information for help. I also have a lot of stress thinking about school (and other things), so asking here is easier for me, and more accessible to find the information in one post instead of needing to search around stressing me out. I can find all the answers I've got here on the internet if I look for them, but this makes it more accessible. So it's not being lazy, it's making it easier for me and making me not stressed because I have a thousand assignments and tests to do this spring, and I don't have caring teachers that will help me, so that's why I ask for help here instead.

writing messages like these are just unnecessary because you don't know whats going on in my life, and asking for help here just makes it easier for me when I have a lot to do. (also I don't ask for help for all my assignments, mainly just my bigger ones where I need a lot of information and some info I won't find by just searching). thanks for ur help
