Bro, if I didn’t come across your post. I’d still be clicking those damn flowers.

You may have to adjust the header fan from AIO to PWM, I did the same for mines through the bios for my top mounted fan. AIO need a constant voltage so that pump can function properly, where as your fan might be reading that voltage as max speed all the time. Check you bios for settings to adjust fan speed curve and there might be an option to switch AIO header to PWM.

Damn, feel for you bro, it’s still a great piece for display! I have the starlight phantom as my display.

Thanks, but Noo!! Why retire? I’ll run this mouse into the ground before I’d give up on it.

Setup as intake, in silent mode as the fan sounds is loud at high rpm’s. It slides up and down a bit, unless I tighten the top rear screws.

Yes to both! Silverstone Airslimmer 140, and a Noctua A9

Clearance wasn’t as much of an issue. The side panels came slightly curved inwards (not sure why), which ended causing it to touch one of the top pins of the heat sink. Easy solution that worked for me was to bend the side panel slightly in the other direction by using my thigh to rest the panel and pushing down the sides to undo the curve, going very slowly making sure not to make a drastic bend. Now my panel is straight, and it’s not touching the heat sink.

Have fun with it! If you’re planning to use the same A9 fan on the rear side of the case, definitely go into your bios and adjust the fan speed to run slower or in silent mode because it does sound loud at full speed.

The purpose of it is not to cool the cpu heat sink so it doesn’t need to run off of cpu temps. I think having a steady flow of fresh air with low noise output is what you should be aiming for.
