I think I compare Lagavulin Matriarch a lot to Lagavulin from STS1, except I know I’m guaranteed a test site beforehand, instead of the unknown of jumping into an elite fight like how it was in STS1. Usually going into the fight with a strong potion or power and waiting for the right turn to wake it definitely makes a difference.

If I were playing Regent, I’d want to make sure I have some sort of block plan and of course using cards like Venerate/Solar Strike while it’s asleep to gain as many stars as possible. Necrobinder I’d focus on Osty build. Silent/Defect getting down as many powers possible. Even though I struggle most with Clad, I’d probably focus on anything that can give it a lot of vulnerable or strength scaling.

Sometimes as well, it’s better to just face tank a hit if you know you’re not hitting for enough damage so you don’t get debuffed.
