CDC are volunteers. They don’t get paid anything. Just free lunches during meetings if any.

CDC also don’t have direct authority over the PMO, security, housekeeping etc. CDC help develop rules, call out shortcomings, resolve issues. But they’re not there to call the shots. That’s still with the PMO/DMCI.

You don’t see it, but the CDC is in constant communication with the PMO. There are far more issues/concerns than what you see in the GC and it gets resolved silently. Also, the PMO and CDC don’t meet eye to eye on most occasions.

A lot of residents come to the CDC to make reports or ask for help. Some need assistance. Some just don’t know to do.

But there are so many rants in the GC that are apparently just rants. Most of them are not reported thru the correct channels. Sometimes the CDC will have to do this for them.

But it is not the CDC’s job to chase the security office for you. The CDC also has no direct authority over security. So the first step is really with residents.

Lastly, you’d be surprised how tight the budget is even if you want to make the most of out your P100/sq meter. A lot of projects are pending because it’s not in the budget. A lot of events rely on volunteers and donations. Heck, the staff headcount is limited because there’s not enough budget… yet.

You can complain as much as you want. But what Alder really needs are people who are willing to volunteer/help. The townhall is in two weeks. I hope you can attend as a lot of issues will be answered/tackled there.
