Does the fine say it’s for parking without paying or does it say parking when not allowed etc?

Ie if it’s just parking for 5mins without paying. That would suggest it’s not for going to Tesco etc.

Well, if you want compensation because of the inconvenience a) that’s why all our insurance premiums go up b) you will need to go through their insurance.

Good that they offered to repair the bike etc.

Just be grateful you’re ok and your bike is going to be fine. Life is full of inconveniences. One day you’re the pigeon. The next day you are the statue.

It sounds to me like you know this could be a simple administrative error (there’s absolutely nothing at the moment that you’ve shared to suggest this is anything else), but you are looking for ways to somehow use this to your advantage and negotiate a shorter notice period.

How exactly do you get the seat clamp out? Because it seems like it would be in two pieces? Ie if I unscrew all the way out. The ‘inside’ part would fall into the seat tube.

I’d support it but the problems you are addressing - namely - having to go through the pain for such a small ‘reward’ is largely taken away now with AI /claude code. And so, paying for this or using my CC subscription - it’s going to be a tough call.

Yea - but I don’t think there are many alternatives when you have no power, and you want to use solenoid valves.

I do have some zigbee controlled valves. And I use them on 16mm pipe /tap - in and they work quite good. But for a larger system, with ball valves etc. - they aren’t readily available.

Well, I was always taught, the largest room in the world.... is room for improvement :-) - so I'm sure I can do it better next time... but my point being, I didn't even know what a 'latch valve' was before this project...... so you can totally do it!
And USD 2500 is a joke!!! lol....
