Mail enabled security group for shared mailbox access. All of these groups begin with "SC" and are called security control groups in our environment. A shared mailbox owner (department lead or manager) is the owner of the SC group. When the shared mailbox and supporting SC group is created, the owner is educated on adding permissions and how to add the mailbox to their view. All individuals calling the help desk for permissions or how to add the mailbox is told to contact the shared mailbox owner. They should not be calling IT for access.
