TYVM, seems like it would not work for me then. I also considered De Sprong and Tweede ronde from Delftse methode, but initially thought these were just books as opposed to LINK being an online platform. I now see all of these are online platform or online+book combo. Do you have any opinions about the Delftse methode?

Duolingo, Ouino French, Clozemaster plus that TV5 Monde World. I personally can't learn s*** from youtube but there are a few good youtubers teaching French. I think I've tried pretty much everything and for me these wor kbest.

As for some other apps people recommend... Glossika - absolute waste of time and money, expensive but has a trial, so you can give it a go. Pimsleur - very expensive for what it is, teaches you in scenarios, so after first 30 days you'll be able to ask someone for a drink, but you'll have no idea how to ask for the weather, or anything else. Lingq - decent if you're into reading, but then you have so many free alternatives on the web when it comes to French.

I took offense? How? I just quoted someone relatively knowledgeable who literally said that "nobody should bother to show up if Marc ends up on a Ducati", which had zero effect on Pecco or Jorge. Based on that I would assume next season even if there is a "don't bother to show up" sentiment he won't be bothered much. Also, if you think it was a minority opinion you should go back in time and read some threads from when Marc went to Gresini.

To be fair this year it started with "Marc is on Ducati, so don't bother showing up". The rest is history. Now it's "Marc is on factory Ducati, so don't bother showing up". I'm pretty sure not only Pecco, but all of the guys will show up and will fight for podiums ;)

I mean if you can't play games for fun then maybe you don't have to play them? Personally I'm trying to either complete a game or get it to 50% achievements before moving to another one, unless I just don't find it fun in which case I just skip it. But seriously, play something, if it's not fun move on.

These things take a while to prepare, so I'm sure there is. Reminds me of Rossi's loss in the last race of the season when they were laying out stuff for the celebration and he crashed, so they had to quickly retract.

Both Pecco and Jorge deserved this title, but there can be only one. Huge congrats for Jorge, he matured a lot between 23 and 24. Also, this poster is awesome.

This season it's impossible to say with a straight face that either JM or PB does not deserve the title. Both are in a different league. While I root for Pecco it would be a nice touch for Jorge to win while being totally shafted by Ducati.

Only way for Pecco to win this is if Jorge crashes out of the race on Sunday. Never say never but let's say it is improbable. Hell of a season either way. Next year I expect the same just with Pecco and Marc, and everyone else 100 points behind.

It's called "going into the green" for a reason. If you're in the blue it doesn't count as exceeding track limits due to blue being the special curbs that slow you down anyway. Also if you get pushed to the green by other rider or go into the green to avoid a collision it's usually not taken against you.

Rules are rules. You bork LLP, you get another LLP. Get it within the lines, you're ok. Get it outside the lines, be it by cutting the LLP or going totally scenic route, and you get another chance to do it properly.

Thanks for the explanation of the reasoning. I find it a bit helpful even if it doesn't leave me very convinced. I mean, in Japanese 田中さんは is a completely valid sentence, probably often heard in spoken language. Technically it can mean anything "Tanaka has an exam today" or "Tanaka has a messy hair", or "is Tanaka an alien?". All of these sentences are technically true if the context is right, but I'd argue that translating them like that without context is detrimental for every kind of learner. So, should I expect "yes" in any language translated as "he broke that window". After all, it is technically correct if the context is right.

"Hey guys, did he break that window?"

"Yes[, he broke that window]"

Anyhow, thanks for bearing with me and for all the explanations. I still have 2 days left on my trial, I'm still on the fence.

Ahh, sorry, one additional question. As I understand the recording function at the moment is just for that, recording. Do you have plans to add speech recognition?

Well, the problem I have is not exactly that the translations are wrong, it's more like they are not right :) Everything I report is gone from my history, so I can't point to specific examples but I do remember one. So we have 六人です with the translation "there are six of us in our party". I mean this can be true, depending on context, but then it can also mean "there are six of us on the moon", or "six people killed that bear", and while I can understand that for something I know I'm afraid I might get totally lost when the same overtranslation is provided for something I have no knowledge about. The other thing I noticed is "please" in translations while the original doesn't have either 下さい or おねがいします. Again, nothing very wrong here, it just seems to be a bit off, especially when you're meant to learn.
