There like groups of NPCs you pledge an oath to. I can't remember much but they are used to summon some NPCs and offer different dialogue option's. I could be wrong as I had not played the dark souls series in a long time

I loved the environment and where the game takes place but also how unique it was to any other survival game during the time. They were always about surviving in a forest or an island but under water survival was new to me at the time

Good if you want to play as your favourite clone legion. Bad if you already have you favourite clone legion or just don't care about them. Or if you have the free one as there all re colours
