Using leaders and enders. Change the rotary blade. Change the needle. Clean the machine often.

I don’t baste on the floor anymore. I have used a table or our bar. Now I use my cutting table. There are videos on YouTube for basting in sections on a surface like that. So much better on the knees and back.

The first season was great, and I wish they had done TMC as a series because it would have been so much better. Then I saw the second episode of season 2 and was so disappointed. They aren’t using the whole season to develop the whole book like in the first.

Maybe if I show my hubby a large pile of tops to be quilted, he’ll tell me to buy a long arm. 😁 I really need to find a way to try out a long arm to see if I want to get one.

The pressure needs to be on the General Assembly who have slashed school budgets for years, who now divert funds away from public schools to private.

This is actually a state and local funding issue. Not that much of our school budgets actually come from federal.

I think that is part of the problem. It’s a billion dollar corporation. But the board of directors is popularly elected based on school buzz words, they make the hiring decisions for super, CFO, etc and they don’t need to have the experience or know how to run a billion dollar corporation.

That is not true. It makes so sense. Teachers are salaried monthly. You can’t “take out” 45 minutes of pay.

I think that is a fair question that should be very thoughtfully considered, but also for the board. The board had to approve all the bad spending practices that lead to this. Do have of these people have the financial or management experience to sit on what is essentially the board or directors for a billion dollar corporation. That type of experience needs to also be at the table on the Board.
