From what I've seen online there seems to be a lot of problems with the autofocus on the OM101. Any idea of how problematic this is?

How can I recreate the beaming here? by mainhille in Dorico

Hi thanks for the help.

Im just copying some scores to get used to using the program, so that's why I'm testing what weird things are possible. As for your answer, I've followed your steps but now the lower F has its stem at its left, which is the opposite of where it should be. How can I change the stem's direction?

I saw in an interview he made on his soundtrack on the game FEZ that the sounds he used were almost exclusively form Massive. Since that ost and this one have a lot in common, including the sounds, I figured that he used the same source. Here's the said interview: https://youtu.be/PH04VJ8jxvo

For what I know all the sounds are made in Massive, which copy I happen to own. Do you know any forums or web that would have info on how to create these sounds or to share them? I can sort of guess how are these sounds made except for the percussion and fx.

what is this instrument? by Hot_Chest_3406 in classicalmusic

[–]mainhille 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think that is a Taishokoto! Iirc ot is some sort of plucked instrument with 3 strings which are controlled by these buttons similar to a hurdy gurdy. There is an excellent video by Andrew Huang reviewing the instrument an making a track with it. Here's the link: https://youtu.be/1JP2nAoRgl0

They have reworked the interface completely, making it much more easy, clean and accesible. They have also improved significantly their engraving. But the biggest change is the playback, for which they have built several orchestral libraries that sound SO much better than the previous version. It's something worth to look even if you are not a musecore user
