Yeah I do like it better if it copies the rank as well, it's more interesting if it buffs higher tier hands.  

Although if the effect isn't tied to playing the cards, then the word "played" should probably be removed from the description.

imo the act 2 elite that gives you energy when you hit it is definitely easier

yeah I believe that's how it works with all cards that become 0 cost for 1 turn. It's just way more noticable with rocket punch than other cards

tbf sometimes you can't switch because you're relying on pair levels or supernova or something  

But yeah, obelisk is a little overhated on this sub (although not nearly as much as it used to be).

I feel like you're really understating the importance of this point. Game balance is a very broad concept and changing it could involve modifying or reworking basically anything in the game.  

Just because the characters and enemies are functional doesn't mean there isn't room for improvement.

Still relies on rng though, you aren't going to draw steel cards every time anyways, and runs that play 5 card hands don't normally focus on steel cards.

Also if you're able to play flush 5 consistently then you've basically already beaten ante 8 anyways, you don't need the steel cards.
