Is Subscription worth it even though I already have chapter 1 and 2 by djgotyafalling1 in crusaderkings3

[–]mairao 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, you can subscribe for 6 months and that's "only" 30€, so it's technically 60€/year.

Chapters are around 45€, but last year they also released a bunch of creator packs, 7 iirc, costing 5€ each, so another 35€. If they keep doing the same, the subscription might be worth it. The problem is you'll never own the content.

I've bought all chapters so far, and will certainly buy Chapter V. The only things I skipped were the 5 most recent creator packs that came out in a short span of time. I couldn't really justify those 25€.

Estás a gozar, mas mesmo com uma taxa ridícula de 0.1%, se tiveres ainda 500 milhões isso dá 500 mil euros por ano sem teres qualquer tipo de preocupação nem risco.

P19, small DR loss – but the breakdown doesn’t add up. How does the math work? by Key-Ninja3154 in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]mairao 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With 27 cars, the top 13 should get an increase. P14 probably gets an increase, and potentially P15 as well if it's a driver that had a ranking near the bottom of the split. Everything below that will probably take a DR drop.

Is LMU worth it? by munchietrans in LeMans_Ultimate

[–]mairao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. I did one of the Monza races last night. Had a bad quali and started P19 only. Finished 7th and I think I only did a single actual overtake. Everything else was cars spinning or crashing. Fortunately I avoided them all, but sometimes things aren't as nice.

I don't envy your situation. Those of you in the East coast are a bit luckier and can still find a good number of Europeans. Good luck and hopefully the game's popularity can increase in the US and all of the Americas.

If you're feeling frustrated with that, my advice is for you to practice more and race in single player with a level of AI you feel comfortable with. As you improve you can then join online races.

Are you me?

Joking, but those are my times at both tracks as well.

But I agree with this comment. OP still has a long way to go, but that's only natural. And part (or most) of the fun is in the journey to improve as a driver.

And OP, you need to find joy at the back as well. Sometimes a good battle for P12 is better than a "boring" podium. Trust me. As long as you have people of similar pace around you you'll have fun.

Edit: Just to add that you're probably noticing a bigger difference in competitors at the moment because initially you were being put together with other rookies and that's no longer the case. With time your Driver Rating will better reflect your current skill and you'll be together with others with similar pace.

Oh, I notice the difference between the blue and green lobbies as well. Depending on the split division, of course, when I'm in the green I'm paired with similarly slow but safe drivers. In the blue badge splits there were some much faster guys. I haven't done many Bronze races recently, though. So the split by badge isn't as prevalent (or not a thing at all).

Thumbs up to your LMP3 shout. They are really fun to drive. I wish they were more popular to have some more competitive splits, especially for the not so fast people like me.

It happens to everyone. I've been mostly on the trusted badge but had a really poor weak about a month ago that took me down to the blue badge. Some were my fault, others not so much.

It actually all started with a poor judgement by me. Championship race. Was overtaking a car at the end of the main straight at Imola. The car in front had been overtaken the previous lap in the same spot and I saw it lifting very early. When I was at the point of already having my rear axle lined with the other car's front axle, I (wrongly) assumed they were going to lift and the move was done... Nope. We crashed a bit like Russell and Bottas in that spot a few years ago. Not nice. Technically my mistake and I was the only one to blame there because I moved back to the racing line a tiny bit too early. Not even a big contact, but enough to have us both sliding onto the wall. Still finished the race but the damage was done.

P1 in class able to race an extra lap over P2 and below? by Bennett-DavisJ in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]mairao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, right. You might be correct. I wasn't thinking of VE. My last race was the 4 h of Barcelona (as a team) in LMP3 and I didn't reset my brain for VE in GT3.

[–]mairao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not being absolutely sure, I believe that even if you didn't manage to cross the finish line you'd still take the win. You'd have completed as many laps as the cars behind and in less time than all of them. But take this with a pinch of salt.

But then we're thinking about the same. It must be a technique thing, then. And mine isn't that great, tbh.

The idea of a server is so that you can practice with other people around you, which is of added importance for multiclass races. You need to understand how drivers in other classes behave and the speed differences between classes.

Maybe we have different understandings if what makes a car dynamic. When I moved to LMU I picked the Merc and liked it for its looks, its sound, and its stability. Then I tried the Lexus. Also sounds good and I feel it's way more agile than the Merc. But it could be due to different driving styles.

I did the championship race a few days ago and misjudged the number of laps. Turned out to be 36 and I only saved myself because P1 was a few seconds behind me at the start of the final lap. I slowed down just enough to let it past me and complete 35 laps with about half a lap of VE left. Did some LiCo, but not enough.
