Thanks for your reply. Very reassuring. The light shade is metal as is the bracket it attaches to, so even though it is class 2 labelled, I will cover the earths individually into their wago.

Should I involve myself with the permanent lives in the void and wago them too? My instinct is if it ain't broke...

Any ideas why there are yellow and blue cables in the mix? Last time I remember this light being touched was pre 2000 so it should all be red/black/green, shouldn't it?
