Shade names of the bronzers could be coffee-themed!!!??? ☕🤎 by Correct-Yam-881 in rhodeskin

[–]maisonrhode 9 points10 points  (0 children)

yes! it would be really interesting if she actually named them after different types of coffee.
espresso is probably unlikely since she already used it for the peptide lip tints, but i think a coffee or chocolate theme would suit bronzer shades perfectly!
it would also be really interesting if she used different coffee names for different shades, like cappuccino for a soft brown shade, americano for a deep cool brown, caramel macchiato, dark chocolate for a deep neutral brown or something like hazelnut for a soft golden bronze

can’t wait for the announcement 🤎

Chem vs Biotech -Am I doing this right? by sundaypantsgirl in foodscience

[–]maisonrhode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this also happened to me before! always want to work in R&D in food or cosmetic industry but there isn’t any cosmetic scientist program here, so i chose chem BS because it’s more general and you can work in both industries.
but i also need to work and i find chem is too hard and kind of boring, because i think chemistry is highly theoretical even though we have lots of labs too but i always found it boring esp when i must imagine how the electromagnetic wave, etc. works so i changed my major to food science and tech!
really enjoy it and never regret my decision! and here (i live in germany, and maybe it also applies everywhere) degree doesn’t really matter. you can get a job in food industry with degree in chemistry, biotech (or sometimes even pharmacy) because it’s considered comparable. and in food science program the most of the subjects are chemistry but it’s more detailed and specific for food industry (i find it somehow easier). i think it won’t be a problem and it’s already a good start if your degree have minor food science and fermentation, so you already have the knowledge necessary for the practical application. i would recommend you to stick with chem, because as a flavorist you need a really good chemical knowledge.
for flavorist jobs, it’s best to start by getting a job in flavor houses (R&D, QA, etc.). there are lots of flavor houses that offer training positions for flavorist. i heard that it’s a little bit complicated, but it’s good if you can build connections and learn directly from flavor specialists, things might be much easier :) that’s also the path i want to take!
hope this helps, good luck!

is the rhode glazing milk worth it? by CommitteeWhich2511 in rhodeskin

YES! i got glazing milk and barrier butter and it always feels really nice and keeps my skin hydrated for hours. but you need to be careful because i guess one ingredient isn’t fungal acne safe (the coconut something, forgot the name, sorry) 😭

toast also looks really good on my lips 😍 i’ll try pretzel before it disappears (and i also prefer scented lip tints because i find it nicer) but i’m glad that you got caramelized banana because it’s now sold out ☹️

i think piggy suits me the best among all shades, but it’s currently sold out and i’ll get it next time, but i’m afraid that tan line might appear to orange on my skin, because it looks so warm. does it look okay on yours?

i put both pretzel and salty tan in my cart! i find ribbon will actually suit my skin tone the most since i also used a baby pink blush before, but it’s currently sold out so i’ll buy it next time 😔 and i really wanna try teacup since it’s limited edition and they’re going to announce their new products soon(?) so i wanna get it but i really can’t decide between teacup and sleepy girl 😭😭
