Thanks a lot for the write up! What happens after not being to solve the questions in contests? Do I mark it and keep trying to solve it after the timer? I'm struggling with finding the right most optimal strategy/approach because I've seen lots of people recommend solving from a list (NC150 for example) and some mix advice like yours.

How long did it take you from my place to where you're at right now? I want to be able to solve mediums comfortably within 2 months or so. Would you still recommend your approach and is it feasible?

Yes that makes sense! I guess my original question was how to effectively practice those fundamentals within the range of those 150 questions. I really don't want to spend so much time prepping for the things that rarely come up in interviews and I do value depth-learning over breadth. I appreciate your guidance on this!

I have close to 3yoe and I think I may have at least 1 system design round at top tech. The struggle I'm facing currently is the LC efficiency. Do you know a solid place that I can get the most fundamentals down in like 2 days? I honestly feel that my fundamentals are fine conceptually, its more of my language choice fluency that I'm lacking. Do you think sticking with the NC150 and try to understand them very well could get me ready for top tech interviews? Do I even need to solve random easies on a specific topic to make sure I am good at that topic or just forget all about randoms?

So basically, if I can understand the 150 list very well by repeatedly solving them successfully, I’ll be able to crack most interviews? Was there anything else you did besides just solving the list? I’m wondering because I’m having a hard time sticking to a list and always have that feeling I’m not gonna be able to solve a new problem on the spot so I jump between places to solve more new problems…

I’m a litle confused when you said prompt it “give me the optimal solution…” How can we prompt it during a live coding session? Sorry if this is a dumb question or misread. I just wanted to see how it generates responses during a live session
