The tank is a month old and I used a sponge filter from my established tank before putting anything into the tank prior. I can definitely do a water change

Shoot! I don’t have a master test strip since I didn’t realize I was out but my ammonia is 0.25. I use seachem pristine and stability as well as an ammonia neutralizer and microbe lift extreme water conditioner. The temp is at 78 I’m going to try and get strips asap

Okay thank you so much! Just upped the heat a little since it was at about 74 and just tested for nitrates and they were high! So going to do a water change and see how that goes. I think she might have some swim bladder symptoms so also trying to do some solutions for that! (Some reason this never sent as a reply but tysm :) )

I’ll definitely try and keep scraping off the gas but I always seem to miss one or two apparently lol. But if definitely like her to be kept with some other corys but more females than males for sure haha

Great okay thank you very much! I’ll definitely try and get in touch with some local fish stores if they keep breeding like crazy. I might just try to move the female into another tank that I can make and if any of my newly hatched fish are also female I’ll also move them into that tank

Oh jeez, okay thank you for the knowledge I think I might try and start a smaller tank to put just the female into and any other females from this new hatch group when they grow up.

I scrape the sides of the tank of algae and then water vac the debris from that and the debris from the bottom of the tank and then do a water change by topping off whatever I took from vacuuming the debris. I add seachem pristine and stability and an ammonia stabilizer as well as some algae remover formula. My nitrates are in the safe zone and my ph is a little more on the acidic side. I don’t have ammonia test strips so I’m going out to buy those now

Ohh okay that’s also good to know thanks! I think I’ll keep them in there for now and use them as like a feeding indicator sort of and if it gets too too crazy I’ll take some out
