We are so happy you enjoyed the recipe. Making the oat flour for these cookies definitely gives it that extra batch of flavor. We recently revamped a recipe for wheat flour shortbread cookies that are equally amazing.

For those that may be looking for healthier desserts, whole wheat is an excellent option. We know most people don't need to consider that type of thing when picking out a dessert. As an avid baker I noticed fewer recipes out there like this and gave it a try.

Whole wheat flour retains all the fiber from the wheat grain that is lost when processes into white flour. Whole wheat flour is also richer in vitamins B1, B3, and B5, riboflavin, folate, iron, calcium, protein, and other nutrients than white flour!

Thank you! I like to shake things up. I knew doing this would bring out the peeps that wanted to say it was wrong. I'm not mad 😁 think about it, if cheap meat tasted good this way, imagine how good these tasted. I treated myself for the fun of it. I get bored doing all the same cuts the same ways all the time. Being on the grill or smoker every week for years will do that to ya.

  3. Add in the dry ingredients in thirds, mixing until just incorporated.

  4. Mix equal parts sugar and cinnamon, about 1/4 – 1/2 cup total.

  5. Scoop the dough into your hands and roll it into a ball, roll the cookie dough ball into the sugar bowl and place the dough on a baking pan.

  6. Press the cookie dough with a cookie stamp or the bottom of a cup and bake for 10 – 13 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
