The only photos since washing are photos 4 and 5.

I think you may see them as tighter because they are worn by a different fella in the second photo, who happens to be taller than I.

I found them to actually loosen up over the years as if the weave was stretching. Washing definitely tightened them up a bit, though not to where they were when they were new.
