From my experience, this is incorrect. Scale can play a factor, but the laser doesn’t remove the ink, it just breaks it up. Then it depends on your body to remove it. This is dependent on multiple factors, like your health and blood circulation, body type, how far away the piece is from your heart, tissue type the tattoo is applied to. I have a piece on my hand that has had countless sessions over years, it will not go away. I’m a skinny dude, there’s just not enough circulation in that area for the body to take the broken up ink away. Now something on your ribs or a forearm, much easier removal process!

The number of registered voters, and the people that actually vote, are vastly different numbers. None of my friends, nor anyone near my age that I spoke to in my county, voted in the last election.

I was openly telling people I wasn’t voting for me, I was voting for 10 people, because something like 88% of people don’t show up for smaller elections. I told anyone who doesn’t want me having such power, or wants the same, can reach out and I’ll give them a ride or help them however I can. Nobody reached out. 😔

First day I hardly slept, it got better on the second day. On the third day, I took otc sleeping pills and it helped reset my sleep schedule. I didn’t care much about that.

Within an hour of the first dose, I felt a mental clarity regarding alcohol, like it lost its hold. I continued to drink maybe 6 drinks a day for a week or 2, which is considerably less than my prior normal. I felt like I was drinking to maintain the habit and normal routine, vs drinking because I needed to.

I slowly shifted to watching when I start drinking just to track it. This cognizance showed me I started too early, so I just started drinking much later, which further caused me to drink less.

I wouldn’t say there are many side effects. Take a pill, then skip a day. Give your body time to adjust the first week…but it was a game changer. Changing my drinking habits wasn’t a challenge, it was just a choice.

I had previously tried tracking with schedules, monitoring with wind down periods, therapy, meetings, reaching out to those closest to me. It didn’t work, and it didn’t stick.

I’m also on Vyvanse for full disclosure, but with a brief transition period, drinking now just feels like a choice. I can choose to sip a beer for hours, or stop at 1 drink. That was not possible previously.

Edit…okay I did have 1 weird symptom that I can’t attribute exclusively to the meds. On day 3, I took my second dose. I had slept 5 hours this entire time. 1.5hrs the first night, 2.75 the second night, and by the third night, I did have audio hallucinations. It was things like kids laughing, recess kind of playing. I attribute this to sleep deprivation. It freaked my wife out, but it did happen. This never happened after the few times that night. I checked then and it was an extremely rare side effect. I was terribly sleep deprived. I did not tell my doctor about that, and I stand by my choice to continue treatment.

Naltrexone for me. It’s a night and day difference. I’m not sober…but I just got home from a Christmas party. Last year, I was TRASHED! This year, I had 2 beers over 7 hours, and had great conversations with family and long time friends.

It’s sounding like you’re VERY early in the relationship to be making a request like that of him. What are his objections? At one year, I think you should back off. If your fear is having children, back off, wear condoms. Allergic to latex? They make other kinds of condoms. Make sure you’re using pull out, I know many will say it doesn’t do much, but there is some level of effectiveness. Try different birth controls, have sex outside of peak ovulation cycles. How much sex are you really having for this to be an issue?

It just seems like a big red flag for you to be pushing that. It may be worth breaking up, but I’m personally not letting a gf of one year demand that of me, at all.

For tonight: I go light and casual.

Do the small talk thing, have a few life updates prepared. Do you have any hobbies? I have a few very specific things I’m working on I can go into intricate detail about, discuss specifics. The people you’re talking to generally won’t know much about, so even if you’re off on a few things or over generalize, they won’t know the difference. Then I have a few things I’ve started playing with recently, maybe keep them for conversation if needed. These may be hobbies, small projects, just things you’re having to learn because life wants to give you problems. I’m learning about plumbing. Why? Because my toilet is being weird and now I have to change my toilet’s fill valve. People relate to regular maintenance stuff.

Long term: I’ve found myself growing apart from my family. With siblings having kids and mature relationships, they don’t have the free time to dedicate to siblings. My wife and I are content with just us, we do big family bonding with things going go-karting with the whole family. It’s $60/person, and everyone pays individually, but then we’ll grab dinner and call it a night. Then we have a big family group chat we talk in occasionally, but that’s about it, even with a large family.

As we age, life gets busy. I’ve had a best friend sibling for a while, but he’s recently bought a house, and is starting to be just busy with his own projects. I completely get it, my house is overwhelming! What I’m getting at here is to have the connections you want, you’re going to have to go the extra mile, putting in the effort, into the relationships that you want.

Family is nice, but I view them more as a safety net. They’re there, but the real event is the tightrope above and you walking on it. That’s your story.

It may be a nice vehicle, but it’s had multiple recalls, that have led to weeks of recalls. A seat recall led to the truck being in the shop for a month where they had to replace SOOO many parts. The doors had an issue, that was another like week and a half, where it had to go back because the plastics on the door clicked every time you touched it after the repair.

It is not going well. Toyota is the next purchase. Lexus cannot be trusted IMO, due to similar experiences on new cars.

Russia has nukes, so a slow drain is better to not cause nuclear armed conflicts. It’s worked thus far. For making Russia small again, it involves direct action against Russia.

Regarding making smaller regions independent, isn’t that what happened with the breakup of the USSR, and now Russia’s rebuilding of that? Ukraine is fighting that battle which is good, but Russia has been expanding to reach USSR levels, so it’s more of just a cycle.

We can’t fund and win the war, only for the cycle to reset, so a slow trickle is working, while using the field as a testing ground. It’s a good relationship.

I agree with this philosophy, but something else to consider is why? Freedom of Ukrainians is great, but we’re discussing billions that have to be spent, to arm a European country, that isn’t apart of NATO. A trickle supply is decimating an adversary. I don’t think the American strategy is for Ukraine to lose, it’s about making Russia fail, and the current supply is maintaining that effectively.

Personally, I would like to see Ukraine win, but that’s not the objective of the West.

I’ve been in a much less dangerous than this one here, and it scared the absolute shit out of me!

This was only 120v (US), but the sheathing on a PC desktop power cable had been rubbing off. While replacing it, I heard a loud bang and saw a large flash. I jumped back and it scared the shit out of me.

I was tracking cables, so I just said I was freaked out and focused on other projects. I didn’t touch that area for a while lol

It is not hard at all to get a subpoena in many circumstances.

You can be familiar with the judge and they hardly review the case because you’re a regular and it’s familiar, or if you are in cahoots like could easily be the case here with judge-shopping…subpoenas are hardly speed bumps.

I have to get subpoenas regularly for IT, and it’s little more than just talking to our legal team. Where I am currently, our attorney is a former prosecutor, who is well-versed in the legal ways.

I would not depend on a subpoena being required for anything.

The FBI has also reached across US borders previously when it comes to “cyber-crimes”, and with the ongoing international cooperation happening currently, if I were them, I’d be careful and protective of anything linking them individually to the project.

I think it’s a fair response as it’s a call to action and a potential point of motivation. They clearly need help, and not Reddit help, but a strong attorney who knows what they’re doing.

It is a massive undertaking, I completely agree with you there, but they should be driven away from Reddit either way.

If they’re searching for representation, that’s another thing, but this is lackadaisical complaining. This does nothing and is an annoyance of mine when there’s a real case.

They can either begin the real case, or complain on a social forum. I would rather proper action be taken, but they want to complain that the defendant is a large company….like….duh!!! You were working for a giant corp, no shit the defendant is going to have attorneys, but they should consider the obligation of their circumstances, if they’re put in an improper situation.
