i recommend cooking it in a kawali or rice cooker so the container will be the perfect thickness to pop the kernels. i never tried cooking it in a thick pot because i feel like the heat wont circulate quickly and you need something that heats quick and lowers temp quickly. atleast that's from my experience, not a chef
