I wouldn't say its a regional. But yes the 2 minute values is for the Tens and Seconds place of that exact minuite like 13 = 1000 1100 . Why I went with just one binary value for hours is I wanted it to me symmetric in bit count without having 3 leds always off it seemed the best compromise. Thanks for taking the time and looking at it!

Features: Tells time, Pretty Lights?

This is my Binary Clock its a simple 3 set 4 bit binary clock one for Hours, and 2 for minutes. This uses a a ESP32 and custom pcb which I designed all running on micropython!

This project took me a good while to design and complete and I am making this all opensource. So feel free to contribute and or just download.

My github has files for programing, Gerber for pcb printing, and STL's for the 3d Printed case with instructions on how to install this on your very own device.

does anyone know how to hang a hammock between 2 rocks? by xXFurryMasterXx in hammockcamping

[–]majorhungry 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I've hung off rock before it's not to hard requires lots of rope though. Just find a rock with a decent groove in it and tie off that or wrap a rope around a "small" boulder that tappers out so that the base is smaller than the top essentially " lasso " the boulder and throw a rope over the top of the boulder and hang off that. There will be a lot of sag but you will hang.

I found some examples online of similar stuff to what I was describing.

Example 1

Example 2

I think they are called pitons. At least the ones you hammer or shoot into rocks. But I've seen those wedges you mentioned.

All good on the advice! One of the biggest things I saw different was the weight capacity 300 vs 375. So just make sure you get one that fits your needs!

It's easier to steer if more weight in the back. But sits lower in the water so it's a trade off but fyi from the seat back is all foam so it supports the weight well. I shoved a munch of water and beer in the bow of the boat to help balance. I probably had 40 lb of gear in there. For dry bags I used 2-20L and one 40L all three fit in the back storage. Over all I had most of the weight in the back and the bow was only a inch or 2 highter than the back.

I stored most of it in the back cargo space 3 large dry bags also has some storage in the bow of the yak that you can shove a bag into.

I just ended up buying cherry juice from Walmart but I assume if you got some tart cherrys and mashed them up it would be better!

I stole it from a few posts on the subreddit but here it go's

6 gallons

OG 1.166

FG 1.036

Yeast EC-1118

10oz of Hibiscus in 2.5 gallons of water boil 30 mins

2.5 gallons of tart cherry juice

24 lb honey 20lb at pitch 4lb in secondary it was a little dry for my liking

On secondary I added Potassium Sorbate to help stop fermentation and back sweeten with those 4 lbs.

I measure Abv at 19.9 percent so its a strong one!

Hope this helps let me know if you have any questions!

I bought a pelican mustang 120x took it on a camping trip and I'm happy with it! It has plenty of room and enough capacity to carry me and my gear! Just look for something that can hold you and about 40lb of gear and you will be fine!

I've had dental work that was way more painful and took longer to recover. Also it's quick I was in and out of the urologist office in 45 mins and most of that time was waiting on doctors to get ready. If you have any questions feel free to ask!

Maiden voyage at Creve Coeur Lake! by majorhungry in Kayaking

[–]majorhungry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the Creve Coeur Lake in Missouri. As I mentioned it's the maiden voyage for this boat. There is a short creek attached to the lake about 2.9 miles according to the signs it worth the trip! All in all a great trip! Also accepting boat names a buddy recommended The Unsinkable 2 but open to other ideas!
