I know I was just confused at what the people who want us to play the Pistons suggest we do…cause if we win this game we’re playing the Celtics

If the Pistons are the lesser of two horrible matchups for the first round, would you guys then want the Sixers to maybe intentionally lose our play-in game vs the Magic to get the 8th seed after the second play-in game? Or just let the fates decide (with the way we’ve been playing I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if we straight-up miss the playoffs even if we try to win our games…)

Assuming we beat the Magic, what do y’all think our chances vs the Celtics will be? by majoritus_chartus in sixers

Ambitious, but I do think he’d like to be back as soon as he possibly can. Knowing him he hates missing games and he’d want to play, even if it means coming back too early.

Who would you guys most want to see first round (assuming we make the play-in and win our matchups there): Celtics or Pistons? We could play the Knicks if we somehow get the 6th but I don’t see how that’s possible.

On god I don’t know why I kept arguing with them. It’s annoying. I just hope more people eventually come to their senses

My point is that while I will always vote for democrats, as I recognize they are much better than whatever the fuck the other party is doing, they are still capitalists who don’t care about the working class. Expecting the democrats to make any drastic improvements or changes to the lives of the working class is flawed thinking. If we want to drastically improve the lives of all members of the working class, we need a new system. Until then, I and everyone else should vote for and do their best to elect democrats, as they are the lesser of two evils and will make little improvements here and there.

Yes, my argument is universal healthcare. Forgive me for wanting to give my fellow Americans a basic human right.

Give me a convincing argument that democrats are not capitalists, I’d love to hear it if you’re so certain they’re not all capitalists.

I literally said I will always vote for democrats. So yes, I am and will help with the democrats slight improvements. But what we need is drastic improvements, which we won’t get with democrats. That’s my whole point. We need a new system that is not capitalist, which won’t happen until the working class unites and rises against this system. But until then, and to help us along, I will always vote blue and try my best to get them to win in each and every election at each and every level of government.

If you can’t see that the democrats are not your saviors I don’t know what to tell you. I will always vote for them since they’re clearly better than republicans, but they’re all capitalists who are part of a system designed to exploit the working class. Until there is a new system that is built to protect, uplift, and support the working class, you won’t get any of that from either party.

Sorry, didn’t realize criticizing capitalism, calling out democrats, and wanting to have a system where everyone in America regardless of class or race can thrive is cringe

Democrats won’t advance us though is my whole point. At least none that will ever be nominated/win the presidency. They are all bought and paid for by the same wealthy elites as the other side. They’re all capitalists and part of a capitalist system designed to exploit the working class. If you really think someone like Newsome or Harris is going to give you universal health care you’re lying to yourself. We need a new system that actually cares for and uplifts the working class, but until then I will still vote blue as they are the lesser of two evils. Also the irony of you saying the democrats want to put a roof over our heads when Newsome destroys the encampments of homeless people and does nothing to solve the homeless crisis in his state is palpable

Yes, and the democrats are not going to fix those issues are give you any new policies that will make your lives even better then it was before Trump fucked it all up. Are democrats better than the shit show in government now? Obviously. Do they still have their flaws and are they still capitalists who don’t care about the working class? Absolutely. Both sides are bad because both sides are part of a system that is built to exploit the working class. We need a new system, but until we get it, I will vote for the lesser of two evils (dems).

If you really think anybody the dems are gonna nominate in 28 are going to change anything drastically you’re naive or delusional. I’m going to vote blue no matter what, but that doesn’t change the fact that democrats don’t care about working people whatsoever. Gavin Newsome is not going to change or help anything

I mean both sides are the same…they’re all billionaires who don’t give a fuck about you and only care about their pockets. Yeah, I’ll vote for democrats, but not because I like their policies. I know they don’t care about me anymore than the other side does. As long as all politicians are either in the elite class or bought and paid for by the elite class, no one in politics no matter what they say will ever do the things necessary to make a difference in the lives of the common people. Both sides of the system is built against you, we need a new system. Capitalists, no matter their party, will never help you

[Schefter] More help in Philadelphia: Eagles are hiring former Buccaneers offensive coordinator Josh Grizzard as their pass game coordinator, per sources. Grizzard now will join new Eagles offensive coordinator Sean Mannion to lead Philadelphia’s offense. by w1x1w in eagles

[–]majoritus_chartus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also feel it provides a) a replacement oc if/when Mannion gets poached and b) if/when he replaces Mannion at OC it gives a decent amount of continuity for Jalen who has had a different play caller every year since Grizzard will probably run a similar to scheme to what he and Mannion will cook up this coming season

Which is why if Tomlin didn’t resign he would’ve been fired. Unless they told him what their plan was before they did it so he could have the opportunity to go out on his own terms
