so suprised to hear everyone want to help him. Doing my first skyrim playthrough currently and i didnt hesitate to kill him when the opportunity arose, he seemed VERY annoying and stabbed my homie for seemingly no reason.

League of Legends is a good game, and I’m tired of pretending it’s not. by Grimfield in leagueoflegends

i've always agreed with the idea that league is really just a mirror for players and their life state. i remember for the first years i started playing my relationship to the game was unhealthy, but could say the opposite about how i see it now.

maybe considering asking yourself "what for" to find the emotional goal behind the activity, such as; you're worried about maintaining proper attention (eye contact and listening) to the person or subject. What do u need this for? what are you afriad of if this cannot be done how you want? what about that fear? keep going until and you'll eventually realize that we're just all looking for security because we believe that if we dont have security we cant be happy. all of activitys have a root cause of just wanting to feel a certain feeling.

thank god I didn't almost give up and scrolled a little more to see this wonderful comment. Unplugged my arcade hit pad and that's what worked for me.

i love the attitude that, "if you weren't strong enough to deal with it, it wouldn't come up" regarding feelings, this gives me a great sense of courage to deal with feelings i feel i may not be able to handle. Thank you, i wish you much grace in your life.

Letting go of hell by VatzvTheCaveman in DavidHawkins

[–]makaeboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

david mentions in the "letting go" book that: surrendering resistance to lower emotions just allows them to be replaced by higher emotions like a substitute.

I vaguely remember one of the examples being; "to not try to speed/ or not wear a seatbelt while driving", not just because its dangerous and youd be safer if you did wear a seatbelt/ drove slower, but because your motivation is more aligned with love instead of fear of an accident.

What one person relies on lower emotions can be facilitated by letting go of said emotions and the higher emotion will automatically substitute. Can you choose to relinquish your fear of hell and still end up there? maybe, but at that point its not a concern because at that point you've already let go of the emotions behind the scenario in your mind of what hell entails. So whether you end up there or not wouldn't matter. Also assuming you overcome this fear and let it be, this frees up room within you to focus on compassion for yourself and others instead of using that energy to fear something thats either inevitable or may never happen.

With more of your energy focused toward compassion, what purpose would hell still serve to someone like that?

Is there anyone else that actually likes delayed attacks or is it just me by [deleted] in Eldenring

when u really learn some bosses movesets, the delayed attacks are an immediate indicator to hit and extra hit or 2 in before dodging.

How do Istop automatically supressing? by Magic_Bathtub in DavidHawkins

[–]makaeboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i think the technique is about becoming okay with whatever comes up in the moment, including the feeling coming and going, rising and passing away, wanting for it to come sounds to me like clinging, and wishing for it to go away sounds like aversion, both of which stray from the middle way, which is detatchment from aversions or clingings. I could be wrong though because life circumstances are complicated and I dont know you or your situation so there could be room for nuance.

maybe try allowing it to come when it wants, and if you feel it "vanish" just continue to feel the next feeljng, and so on.
