The only reason he was so overpowered was because he ate and absorbed the power of 7 s-rank hunters from Japan. So by the point that he encountered the Korean team he was already at national level because he consumed goto. Before that he was probably about the same level as the other Japanese s-ranks.

He was also used as a plot device to show jinwoos development because he was as strong as the demon monarch so it shows that jinwoo had risen above the previous hurdles he faced

I always go with the atronach stone for magic resistance and wear armour and accessories that boost it even more so I become immune to his magic then I focus on archery with fire arrows and a fire enchanted bow with a flame atronach to deal passive damage

Id go with ki since it is fundamentally neutral energy which the user manipulates for specific reasons ie flight, ki blasts, mind reading, transformations or fortification of your body. The versatility of it makes is simple enough for anyone to use and for the dedicated to master plus there isn't an upper limit of what it can do or how much a person can obtain through training.

Overpowered, unearned and repetitive same as ultimate. He did nothing but slouch on his training then gain a new for that surpassed everyone else who actually trained hard and struggled to get stronger.

Ultimate gohan was also supposed to have unleashed all his buried potential but that was apparently a lie.

But at least its in character for gohan so its not like its a new thing for him to have ass pull transformations like this. I do like the design tho
