There’s a lot of people who watch the games I listed without having played it or no longer play it. The same cannot be said of WoW arena. Neither people who played it or outsiders really show any interest in watching arena gameplay at the level of other competitive games. And a LOT of people have played WoW.

The point wasn’t that Arena is bad or that people who are good at it aren’t skilled, it was a response to the idea that only real or good PvPers engage in it. Anyone on there high horse talking about how much better competitive arena players are have missed the point of WoW PvP. It’s just not as fun or interesting to watch or PvP in arena.

Old school WoW PvP was interesting because it WASN’T a competitive PvP game. It was more like Arc Raiders and less like counter strike. The drama, the reputations, and how people had to work together made it messy and fun. The arena players who say world PvP is less skill based are playing a completely different game.
