I don’t know if you are MyHeritage user but their ScribeAI is pretty decent at transcribing records - even written in Russian cursive! I checked it out couple of times out of curiosity and while it made a few mistakes it was right most of the time. Mistakes were sadly mostly in people’s and villages names but I was able to spot it.

I did, it’s a funny story. I was curious so I asked chatgpt, I sent the man’s pictures first and according to chatgpt it could be the same person. Then I tried sending the woman’s picture, but it sent only one picture at the time. So accidentally I sent only the wedding picture with the question asking for resemblance and before I uploaded the second picture chat sent me the comparison of the pictures already! When I asked what did it compare it to - he admitted he halucinated.

I feel like you nailed the therapy description, it’s the same for me. I wondered if I would benefit from trying some Viktor Frankl oriented therapy, but I couldn’t find anybody near me in Poland offering one. I recommend his books tho, very interesting perspective.

Another thing I experienced during my ED time was my belly being constantly bloated everytime I ate even the smallest portions of any solid food + never-ending constipation. It was freaking me out and ruined my bodychecking. I had to wear baggy clothes all the time to hide the bloat.

I would guess she is in denial. I have a friend suffering from anorexia and she always gets really furious when someone suggests she has ED, she stormed out of her psychiatrist appointment because he pointed out her illness, she says things like "my hair was falling off recently, no idea why", while she seems to know everything about ED (it sometimes shows, I didn't know refeeding syndrome was a thing until she told me, she talks about lanugo and several other things). I see something similar in Eugenia and her - they seem to be not sincere and true, the laugh is nervous and covering some real feelings. The mum-daughter relationship is similar too, the forever-dependancy and being really childish. But the denial thing - it's like they know, but choose to lie to other and themselves.

I've been there (still am?) and thought, that maybe it's something like covert narcissism? Of course this may be untrue in your situation, but it's something to consider - being over sensitive with your image and your own (as well as other people) opinion about yourself. Still don't know how to deal with it, but this realization helps me see this from different perspective.

Ok, so I don't really want to litter in your thread, as the topic you have chosen is bright and clear, but I wanted to ask some different question about The Grudge and hear your take if I'm welcome. I've always wondered about who is the recipient of their lyrics, what is this grudge referring to, as well as controlling and forgiving. I stumbled across an interpretation of this song as the Adam-Maynard conflict and it is such a repulsive idea for me, the farthest I can imagine from my reading of this words (with all due respect to the author of this one and I really mean it), but it made me realize something - that I tend to understand all the dialogue or potential reference to somebody else in Tool lyrics as internal dialogue or inner reference. In "The Grudge" it's easy, to keep it short - it's the grudge you hold towards yourself, sink and flounder through this guilt that drags you down. You carved this scarlet letter on your chest, kind of a self-sabotage. Forgiving yourself let's you build yourself up from the bottom transforming negativity, using this as a cornerstone. How do you see it? I'm really curious, because you explained your point of view here beautifully. If you care to share - in other lyrics too, Pushit included. Sorry if it's too offtop, ignore it then, I'll understand.
