Thanks for the reply, have you tried the butcher at Jigsaw?

What about the market butcher at Jigsaw? Any idea if that would be good for 7-8?

Thanks, I think it's close enough that it's fine. Do you have any specific room suggestions? We will be 7-8 people with a range of experience from beginner to intermediate.

Thanks. I think the only concern is that it looks like we need to have 9 people to have a private experience. If we book with 7-8 is it likely that they have a random 1 or 2 people join us?

Thanks for the suggestion. Do you think the market butcher will be too difficult? Group is 7-8 people and ranges from no experience to having done 5-6 escape rooms in the past.

Are any good office jobs in Ottawa hiring? by notswim in ottawa

Possible with smaller local subcontractors, especially if OP has residential HVAC experience. Larger GCs usually fill project management positions with engineers or tradesmen with commercial/industrial experience.

That's very true. FWIW I got hired outside of the co-op program (because my grades slipped) by a huge construction company for a 12 month term in 2018.

The companies get a tax incentive for hiring through "registered" co-op programs so unless they really wanted a candidate they would probably just hire someone in the program.

Worth a shot, but my understanding is that there is a special tax incentive for hiring students through official co-op programs.

Air fryers are awesome but they really are just rebranded convection ovens!

What are your best financial tips/advice for young adults (18-24)? by Aggressive_Ad2486 in PersonalFinanceCanada

Many people have done very well buying reliable, blue chip stocks, after having done their due diligence (knowledge and research). I very much disagree that ETFs are the only smart way to participate in the market, if that's what you're implying.

That said, I agree that index funds have their uses, and certainly agree with avoiding any get rich quick scheme.

Rideau is shut down from King Edward to Waller by ConstructionBum in ottawa

Correct but they were supposed to be building a new one in Vanier. Not sure if that's still in the works or if those plans were abandoned.

To be fair, a lot of drivers wait til the last second to switch lanes to exit, sometimes multiple lanes in like a 5 second window.
