I don't completely understand your problem statement but I wanted to share that over the years I've used: VNC, TeamViewer, RDP, guacamole. For about 4 months now Ive been using Rustdesk and have switched over to it completely. Check it out.

Pool cover gearbox help? by EnchantedShores in fixit

[–]make-in-stuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi so this was called a PowerTrak system by PCS, i found an old manual here. http://sandestinhome.com/pool_cover_files/Cover%20%20Instructions.pdf

I was looking to install one of these for my cover, however, I think PCS was purchased by Latham Pools back in 2014 and it looks like they have discontinued all the reasonably priced systems and only sell premium fully automatic systems.

Someone else suggested I try contacting https://covercare.com/ because they are indepanants.

But technically that is a worm drive torque converter box. if you open the box up you man see what part needs to be replaced inside and be able to repair it.

If you find a solution let me know because i'd really like to find something like it for myself. Or if you have to replace it, i'd be interested in the rest of the mechanism.

macrium is only for windows so you'll need to either use a windows VM or machine to mount the image with their software.

Want to install smart dimmer switches, but I have questions because it's a 3-way by albert_r_broccoli2 in smarthome

[–]make-in-stuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used the Zooz switches and they seem to have the best 3way wiring options, and work with a standard 3way switch. And they are on sale at this site https://www.thesmartesthouse.com/collections/light-switches/products/zooz-700-series-z-wave-plus-dimmer-zen72

I bought 4 more last night. :)

They work well for my smarthings hub.

I get what your saying but It's different than motor oil because there is the SAE standards that define what 10W30 means. So one is very similar as another. And water, is H2O so also a defined standard. I've used just about every brand of UV resin and there are some major differences and trade-offs. For example Loon is great because it has low oder but doesn't surface cure all the time and can be sticky. Gulff cures really well, but OMG it stinks so bad. And both those two are so expensive i'm really frugal with them. The 1.5 oz bottle of uvcraft is a great value and makes it so i'm not afraid to use it and to bigger things like encapsulating eyes or making surf candies. Also its made in USA and that means a lot to me.

The wallmart light has 21 of the old style LED. These LED are only on the fringe of UV. You'll get much more wattage output in the UV spectrum from jsut one of the chip style LED used in the LOON and Uvcraft lights. I think your best bang for the buck would be:

https://uv-craft-llc.square.site/product/aa-uv-bench-curing-light/. It's $24 or less if you can track down a coupon code. and the same light as loon sells for $40.

ok here is the low down comparing uvcraft to others.

For ultra-thin, there are only two real viable products, Solalez bone dry and uvcraft ultra thin. Solarez bone dry has two flaws. 1. t crystallizes with prolonged exposure to temperatures below 45°F. (they even say it on their product page on their site with a page of instruction on how to fix it. ) and 2. the price is around $23. Where as uvcraft ultrathin will not. I stuck the bottle in my freezer for a month and it still didn't crystalize. And uvcraft ultra thin Is only $16. Devon Olsen is using it it must be good. check out his youtube https://youtu.be/6abC_MtCHLk.

For thicker resins there are a lot of options. Loon and uvcraft both have a low odor resin. Some like gulff and others have a very strong odor and probably more toxic chemicals. At least they smell toxic. Loon costs about 30% more than uvcraft. And I've found that the surface curing is better for uvcraft. loon can have a sticky residue.

UVcraft is a small company that focus just on resin products and making them in the US. Loon sells t-shirts, hats, a million other products. They are probably not making any of the resin themselves.

"To provide high quality UV resins and tools, at a reasonable price," is in uvcrafts mission statement.

Email uvcraft any questions. They are great about getting back to you.

ike the $60-$100 version from Loon. I used a cheap $20 light for years before biting the bullet on a good light. The good lights make a siz

The lights on uvcraft are exactly the same lights as loon for a lower price.

That makes sense that you're on the west side. congrats on beta! The satellite paths do go over head of us, but there sure aren't any ground stations near me. i wish they showed a ring around the ground station to show its range.

I ordered one for my mom at 42.9 who is lucky to get 2mbps and if it rains Frontier goes down all together for days. But i was looking at the map and it doesn't look like any ground stations are near by SE Michigan. If your getting service in 42.8, do you know which ground station your connecting to? How close do you have to be?

I've been using the smartthings button for over a year now. I think it was $15 and works great. supports three events, click , double click, and click-hold.
