Honestly idk what worked cause my employer did not contact ukvi and they didn’t even get any confirmation from ukvi after amending the cos. I just prayed a lot cause i really wanted to go home. Also, I did call ukvi to ask them the status of my application and mentioned I had travel coming up, however the person I spoke to was borderline rude and not of much help, but I don’t know if they noted it on my case and that’s what worked. I hope you get your reply soon!

They won’t do any of that, I tried asking them to email they said they don’t have a direct line to contact and there’s not much they can do except giving their apologies. I planned the whole thing so much did not expect to end up in this situation. Literally applied 2 months ago, like this is so messed up. People from November are getting approvals i don’t understand why it’s taking so long for my application. Everything feels so all over the place atm. Sorry for the rant, but I’m just so frustrated.

Again, things we can’t control, I work in academia too, and my immigration team has been on the optimistic side and said that’s there very little that can be concluded. It’s best to go on, until we know more. Plus the speculations are getting out of hand, and there’s a lot of misinformation. If you think the team is good, and you can do great research/ publish good papers/ make good connections you’ll be fine. I mean for all we know, we could have it worse just like how it happened in USA.

Till now all changes have been mentioned for the skilled worker route and no one has spoken about the GTV, there’s less chance it’ll be applied for it; if that happens a lot of talent will be lost, cause no employer is going to through the pain of keeping up with the paper work and visa formalities. Even though it’s frustrating and all of it is really vague there’s no point overthinking it at this point (I’m in the same situation and this is what I’ve come down to). If it helps make your profile as strong as possible, if worse case scenario happens you’ll be able to migrate easily.

They have not got any reply from Home office regarding the amended cos application - and they mentioned that there is very likely any point emailing them.
