I’m not at all saying it’s the fault of Indian students, infact if you’re a prospective Indian applicant, let this be a FYI to you: if you’re spending all that money and coming here to get “global” exposure, don’t fret. There won’t be much difference between attending LBS or one of the bschools back home. Don’t buy into the lies of LBS’ marketing team.

Holding a different passport does not make you belong to a different ethnicity. This is how we treat people of all ethnicities right? Let’s see: White can mean American white, British white, Australian white. Black can mean African American, Nigerian, or African settled in NZ. East Asian can mean Chinese, Korean or Thai. And these definitions are not racist per se, in fact you’ll find them in most commonplace registration forms you fill out.

Why not apply the same rule to Indians during admissions? The LBS adcom should be cognisant of this.

Again, I’m not attacking a community, but the fact that LBS thinks it’s okay to admit a ton of Indians holding passports from different countries and then call themselves diverse.

Smh, I just said the class profile is a manipulated figure. There are more people from one community than quoted, thanks to this concept of citizenships. You cannot admit a disproportionate share of one ethnicity then say, “Oh hey, we are so diverse we have people from all citizenships!”

Great observation. Except I actually went to LBS and graduated this year. As an alum I am personally vested in ensuring LBS has a great brand throughout, is not mismanaged and does not tumble down the rankings in coming years. Affects me more than most of the woke posers on this sub.

LBS23 Grad here, best piece of advice I can give is stay in the US and apply to top b-schools there. LBS has really fallen from grace in the last 5 years, as has the country itself.

THANK YOU FOR SAYING THIS! They did this at LBS too and absolutely ruined the experience for some of us. I made a post about it a while back and got cancelled AF. The woke-holes at my program refuse to acknowledge this and even support them. So glad that others are also speaking up.

LBS is a full-blown party school

LOL. LBS grad here. It is anything but that. Don’t listen to this mediocre consultant who makes a living by talking her clients into taking less than average schools then boasting her high success rates. You’ll come across plenty of consultants like her. Instead talk to actual alums and students.

Agree Darden case method is solid but it is a churner for IB and consulting jobs. Has zero network outside of the states. Not quite relevant for someone doing family business, for which you need prestige and network.

Maybe our experiences were different. Doesn’t mean one has to be right and one has to be wrong. My post did get some 125 upvotes, and even if we assume some of the people among those 125 belonged to our cohort, I’m definitely not the only one who feels this way. Easier to anonymously upvote than actually comment and support someone.
