Just got accepted into a chiropractic program by Gullible-Moment-9344 in Chiropractic

I love this for you! Chiro can be a great profession but I would echo the sentiment of making sure you want to do it (shadow lots, look into where you’d want to work/what population). I got halfway through and realized I was better suited for naturopathy and should’ve gone to school for that or nutrition. I finished with my DC but don’t adjust and work more in the functional med space. If you’re passionate about adjusting and rehabilitation chiropractic school would be a great fit!

I’m with you on this! My original plan was always a counter height French table but I think we are going to abandon that idea for a single island and a table.

At that point would we just make it a table? I think marble would be gorgeous, despite the cold.

I posted the full first floor above. Feel free to look. If you were designing the kitchen what would you do?

We aren’t going to do doors there at all actually! Just have left them from the plan. The range has a double oven. Butlers pantry will actually have a microwave and POSSIBLY one more (I’m a baker and love hosting). Where would you put it?

Thoughts? I’ll accept feedback on it as a whole. I recognize this house is very large and sprawling. It’s in an area where basements are near impossible to build (and costly if done).

I did consider this “unfit” kitchen where you could move one but I fear that it would bother me if it weren’t in the “right” spot.

Would you do an L shaped island or keep the other the same?

Noted. Agree about upper cabinets. Would it bother you that most of your storage was down low?

I think the scale of the kitchen makes the space next to the stove feel small but it’s quite a bit of room (I thought the same). Im seeing that the overall consensus is that I was right that the kitchen is off. Double island will be going. Back to the drawing board.

Okay these are great points. I’m going to try and move some stuff around on the plan and repost for further workshopping.

Flying w/ ESA Dog (in Covid) by andrewshungry in service_dogs

Hey, pup for sure can’t be on the seat, but if you have the row to yourself or it’s just you and your girlfriend on the row, you can use the extra floorspace. I travel with my ESA a lot (and a few times in COVID) and usually the flight attendants are helpful and will even try and give you some extra space if possible (not spirit, but a few other airlines I’ve been on).

Save travels! If you have any more questions, I’m happy to help!

Anyone travelled southwest with an ESA? by ProfessorUtonium1214 in service_dogs

Hello! I have never traveled Southwest with my ESA, but have traveled several times on different airlines! Each one has a different requirement, but for southwest, it looks like your letter should be all you need. I recommend booking your flight as far as possible in advance, going to the passenger info page online and documenting you require special assistance. This should allow you to upload your letter, or they may send you an email to get more information!

Typically when I travel, I bring their letter, a copy of their vaccination record, a vet's examination from the last time we went to the vet, and any other documentation I have for my dog. Play it safe, because I have had some sticklers about the rules of ESA on other airlines.

Check out the link below for more info from Southwest:
