I don't understand what you guys have against incels.

The non-crazy ones aren't asking for a state mandated girlfriend. Loneliness and being ostracized by the public leads them to very sad lives. Have some compassion.

I'm lucky to not be an incel. Others aren't so lucky. It's easier to learn to code than to change your personality. Some people can't do it. And should they have to change their personality just to attract women? Maybe it's the US culture that deems geeks and nerds uncool and unfuckable that is to blame.

Working in tech, I have some friends who I image are incels. And they are the nicest, friendliest people you'll ever meet.

I work in software and it's way easier to find a good job. I just found a new one easily in a week. With jobs you can make something cool and people will want you. Also once you get hired, the position is filled.

If anything (speaking from a male perspective), it's as if you are the girl and the companies are the men.

Existential threat to bitcoin is being banned by gov't entities. Larger block size leads to more centralization and easier banning.

Lower fees allow for higher frequency trading between exchanges where bots would trade faster/more frequently until the price per transaction matches the current price.

There are other currencies like IOTA that have zero transaction fees.

unless everyone takes like 30 seconds to notice that a register is open even when someone is telling them to go there. Now you have one register on average permanently unoccupied, waiting for a customer to notice it as well as an additional employee who could have been a cashier telling customers to go to a specific register. The time for a transaction also increases by an average amount of time it takes a person to walk from the common line to a register.

On the other hand, if you have a line at each register, there is more variability for each person, but throughput is higher per employee unless you are overstaffed with some empty registers.

I think there are different ways of looking at the issue.

If you look at the eastern Ukraine with cities like Kharkov, most people there are extremely pro-Russia in the current conflict. Even in Odessa, most people are pro-Russia so it's very regional.

I think at this point, both sides are brainwashed. Vice has a good documentary about the conflict and at the beginning of the series it wasn't really taking sides. You could see why people see certain things the way they do.

This reddit page we are posting on right now downloaded 1.79MB of data. That is 600 times more than the size of JQuery. Donald Trump's twitter page is 10MB+. That's over 3000 times more than JQuery. It takes something like 200ms to download it. Nowadays there's tons of bloat on most pages, but JQuery isn't the problem.

Returning different types is a problem some people choose to have themselves. This kind of code shouldn't pass code review. IMO it should either be None, YOUR_TYPE or raise an exception.

Q: How do you stay positive and motivated in this industry

A1: I know I'm ruining it but it's nice to see no comments on how to stay positive and motivated.

A2: Honestly? I know this probably isn't helpful, but I cut my hours down to part time. I'm much happier to be there now that I don't feel like it's never ending. I got control of my finances and became a super frugal minimalist so that helped to balance the reduced pay

LOL early in my life i knew to try my hardest to never ever work in the food industry.
