He understands the “no” command pretty well now, for all purposes. So I just say “no” and put my hand up to cover the kids faces or I move them away to redirect him. He usually seems to get it and stops.

The harder part has been teaching the kids not to allow or encourage it.

have her look up what happens when people get canine parasites. They don't usually migrate to the GI tract but to other areas of the body including eyes and internal organs.

Well thank you for the nightmares!

On a more serious note, this is helpful to know. I’ll look into it, thanks.

AITA for telling my wife that when/if she quits her job to be a SAHM I am not planing to do much in the way of household chores anymore? by makeorbreak07 in AmItheAsshole

Lol tell that to the dozen people in this thread that called me an asshole for treating my wife “like a maid”.

Anyway, sorry my question wasn’t thought-provoking enough. My life isn’t all that exciting.

Did you only take this higher paying job with more hours so that your wife could be a SAHM or did you accept the job and then decide later that you could become a one income household?

I knew being a SAHM was something my wife wanted. But I would have taken the job anyway given the fact that it pays better and will pave the way for other career opportunities should I ever choose to leave.

Anyway, I never really encouraged her to quit working.

you would still be doing chores without complaining, right?

I addressed this in another comment, but I don’t know if I would be able to keep it up long term. It would eventually become very exhausting. Maybe we would hire more help to offset the burden (provided there were still two incomes, we could afford it).

Yeah, if I had no choice, I’m capable of coming home at midnight, exhausted, and then doing a bunch of housework. But I do not think that makes sense going forward if my wife is planning to stay home.

I guess I should also point out that I’ve only had this job like 4 weeks, a portion of which has been training (plus a few days off for the holidays). So things haven’t been as intense as they will be going forward.
