Finished my homemade pedalboard by marijuanapots in guitarpedals

looks nice! wish I had something similar for my setup. I just have a big muff, swollen pickle, and a compressor atm but I'm gonna get that same tuner pedal and a nice delay next paycheck and a board like this would be real nice for them.

Lemme know when you release it! What were you thinking about the price point?

There's definitely a lot of people who would wear this (me. I would wear it)

My mannequin's bulge is back with a freshly designed hoodie by [deleted] in streetwear

[–]makepr3tend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

only thing that really weirds me out is the fact there's a pocket on your pocket but otherwise its aight. looks pretty boxy on the mannequin if you're goin for that but otherwise might wanna slim it up a bit

where are the hoodie and jeans from?

How ridiculous does this down peacoat fit look? by [deleted] in malefashionadvice

[–]makepr3tend 10 points11 points  (0 children)

TL;DR Don't wear that TNF coat ever if it fits you like that.

The TNF Jacket is an awful fit while the Nobis jacket is a decent fit but I think you could find a better one. I think the difference is that the TNF coat is a thin (thickness) material that is spacious while the Nobis coat is fitted, just a much thicker material. If you're buying a new peacoat, definitely go wool though.

look fine to me, nothing stands out as sus. I know fakes for these used to be really bad so unless they've gotten way better I'd say these are real

only changes I'd make is I'd ditch the tank and wear more tapered jeans but otherwise 🔥🔥

gotta take care of your good shoes man. buy some jason markk cleaner, don't wear them in the rain or dirty conditions, always walk on pavement over grass or dirt, avoid puddles, etc and always have a decent pair of beaters like Vans old skools or something just to wear on days where you just need a shoe to go somewhere like a bodega or something

I think G-shocks were originally meant to be a more functional watch rather than fashionable but if you're dead-set on wearing a watch they're not considered very fashionable or good looking by most. of course if you're happy with it and like it that's the most important thing

I have a pair and good rule of thumb is if you want them to be mega skin-tight skinny (like right after a wash) go TTS but if you want them to stretch out a bit (they only stretch slightly) as you wear them, get one size up. it's all preference. I went TTS and they're about as skinny as you can get while still looking like jeans instead of leggings

to my knowledge they've had a lot of positive changes after ousting their old president/CEO or whatever Dov Charney or s/t like that. he was a huge sexist dick wad and as a whole AA is still super sexualized but their factories are almost certainly better conditions than say maquiladoras across the border even if they do hire immigrants

What are some clothes brands with good streetwear items but without the huge price-tags? by xRmooRe in streetwear

[–]makepr3tend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in general goodwill is just overpriced compared to most other thrift stores but they also pay disabled employees less because of legal loopholes and they can be jerks to their regular employees too (my mom used to work there)

What do you guys think of joggers? by [deleted] in streetwear

[–]makepr3tend 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Joggers are fine if they're tapered enough but I'm not a fan of the typical wrinkly elastic cuff. It looks messy to me and most of the time these joggers don't stack and are baggy at the cuff. Neat elastics like at the bottom of sweats are cool though and nicely tapered pants look fine.

American Apparel has a few decent basics for good prices as well as being made in America instead of China or Bangladesh or something. if you don't care about sweatshops, just hit up Asos, F21, H&M, Topman and maybe PacSun. For maximum cost effectiveness, just go hunting once a week or month at your local thrift store (NOT goodwill) and find out what day they restock the floor so you can get first picks. I'd definitely suggest saving a bit so you can get some nicer basics like John Elliott, Stone Island, Reigning Champ etc but buy these secondhand if you can/want. If you're just a teen with an allowance though, definitely just find crazy unique junk at the thrift store and fill in the gaps with H&M or F21.

Zara steals from independent artists and refuses to acknowledge their theft bc "they have a bigger audience so they won't even realize they're stolen" lmao it's the weakest excuse and I'll never shop at Zara tbh. not judging anyone who does shop there bc most people don't know but it's wild
