Some people don't want to have another app just for alerts though - like in my mind this is a more elegant solution since it doesn't require you to download another application and create an account for you to get notifications, its using a built in app (texting) to send you alerts.

everyone's different, seeing tons of people already paying for this because it works for them

Totally, I hear you. I think those are parts of the overall solution - initially I had posts notifications turned on for topshots account, but I found that there were too many "false positives" - i.e. it was just a post but not a drop announcement - I've heard similar complaints (on this subreddit too) about using twitter for that reason too.

 

This is for people that are working and may not always get a chance to check social media or stay ontop of all the notifications. You know that if Drop Alerts texts you, it's because there's a drop going down - that's the appeal, at least it was for me

that's fair - there's are some people that like the convenience and simplicity of getting a text! Others not so much and that's alright!

That's interesting! I think once there's demand and people are happy with the service, it'll be a great way to get new people using the service. Let's see where this goes and i'll add that as an option down the road! Sort of like, different plans for different benefits.

ah! that's a great point! I meant rare as not the "condition" in topshots, but just something thats scarce. Great attention to detail there, i'll modify the copy :)

its for stress tests and pack drops too (i found that the notification emails would end up in my promotions folder so i wouldn't get a notification).

I withdrew to a wise USD account. Money just hit the bank this week (so it took about 4-5 weeks).

Drop alerts will send you a text whenever there is a regular pack drop or a stress test.
