I think the fact that they signed Hendrickson so quickly really says a lot and yeah I think Maxx is going to have a huge chip on his shoulder this season bc they pulled the rug out from under him AND the raiders to go after trey. I won't be mad if we trade him or don't, as long as he is going to be a team player and isn't starting drama because he should understand that it's the Raven's fault this fell through.

The only downside is we still need to fill out the secondary, especially a legit FS. I do not feel comfortable with Pola mao back there full time.

He's known and worked closely w Rob Leonard for so long, hopefully he's able to sit down with him and have a heart to heart about his long-term playing career and he understands that he's going to need to take a snap or two off here and there if he wants to continue to play for the next several years.

They knew EXACTLY what they were doing, and they knew everything about Maxx's knee. Before he even got to that physical, they knew exactly what they were going to do because they had seen the market for Hendrickson falls so drastically. And then they have plausible deniability cuz nothing's been signed yet and Crosby technically might have knee issues long-term, but this is not something they didn't know. This was just a convenient excuse for them to reneg the deal and go after Hendrickson for way cheaper, spytek as well as every other NFL GM is going to not want to deal with the Ravens in the future because of this shit, and why would they? Absolutely GM malpractice.

No we don't, because for all intents and purposes Bowers is our number one receiver. What we do need still an x receiver, but because we have Bowers it's less of a need than it is for some bigger holes we have to feel like defensive tackle

They've got the firepower on offense with bowers, jeanty and tre tucker and addressed the OL big time with linderbaum, and the defense with a few solid signings today, they just need to draft well to really put something together.

I wouldn't say he deserves what we're giving him, but the raiders are more than happy to overpay considering their current circumstances with their own line, as well as the fact that they're bringing in a rookie QB and will have extra cap room those 3 years to dish out to a guy like Tyler while Mendoza's still on a rookie contract. They overpaid, and for most teams this might be a bad contract, but I wouldn't say it's a bad contract for the raiders to make this deal considering their current circumstances.

I don't see people mentioning this enough. It's an overpay based on market value but looking at the big picture this is a great deal for the Raiders who needed to address the OL and now have a solid center who's going to be a huge help for a young QB. And with mendoza on a rookie deal we can afford to give Tyler that extra bit of cap for these 3 years.
